Activities

What we do when we meet

Our sessions are informal and student-led. Come to whatever interests you — there is no attendance requirement and no need to prepare in advance.

Math problem-solving sessions

We pick a small set of problems, work on them quietly, then present solutions on the board and compare approaches.

Group discussions

Open conversations about ideas we met during the week — a proof that surprised us, a definition that seemed strange at first.

Math competition preparation

Timed practice and past-paper walkthroughs for contests, with emphasis on strategy and clean write-ups rather than speed alone.

Sharing interesting math concepts

Short student-led talks: ten minutes on a theorem, a paradox, or a piece of mathematical history someone found worth telling.

Student math projects

Longer explorations carried out over a term — writing up a topic, coding a simulation, or investigating a question of our own.

Collaborative learning activities

Study pairs, note-sharing, and peer explanation sessions for topics people are meeting in class for the first time.
